Community Survey
As a reminder, a community survey is available through June 15. TCAPS long-term master planning is a high priority for the Board of Education and administration. To support data-driven decision making, the Board of Education hired an architect and construction manager to complete district-wide facility assessments. The assessments will provide a comprehensive view of the current state of the district’s physical assets and anticipated needs, including estimated costs and potential timelines, which will inform future capital projects and bond planning. TCAPS students and staff can also participate in a survey accessed by a tile located on the TCAPS cloud. Stay up-to-date at www.tcaps.net/bond.

BE SMART Resolution
TCAPS Board of Education adopted a resolution during their regular meeting held November 14, 2022, known as the BE SMART Gun Safety Resolution. The resolution focuses on the importance of gun safety and firearm storage.
The full resolution, available here, resolves that the Superintendent and Board of Education will continue to work with local law enforcement agencies, medical and mental health agencies, and non-profit organizations to collaborate and increase efforts on promoting the importance of secure firearm storage and gun violence prevention safety measures.
As TCAPS’ academic year draws to a close and students will soon spend more time at home, we wish to remind families of the critical importance to securely store and lock all firearms. Doing so will add another level of safety for our children and community.

Have You Requested Transportation Services for Next School Year?
It’s time to let us know if you are going to need busing services for your child next school year. Please be sure to complete the 2023-2024 Transportation Request Form online via your PowerSchool Public Portal account no later than June 14th. Even if your child rode the bus this year, you must complete a new request form and be assigned a bus route in order to receive services next school year. We are asking that you complete your child’s request form as soon as possible to allow staff adequate time to develop next year’s routes. A delay in requesting transportation could result in your child not being able to ride a school bus for the first two weeks of school or until a bus route has officially been assigned. If you have not yet signed up for a parent portal account, please view these instructions to get you started.
