Inclement Weather Alerts & School Closures
School closures are announced no later than 6:00 a.m. to news media, email, and if opted-in, a district text message. Announcements will also be posted to the TCAPS website, social media, and bus hotline (231.933.1955). If you are scheduled to visit, please ensure you have the phone number and/or email address of the individual you are scheduled to meet with so you can reach them directly when you arrive for admittance.

This Just In…
TCAPS lit up Front Street during this year’s Downtown TC Light Parade! Thank you to all of the Courtade staff, students, and families that participated and great job to the Traverse City Central High School Drumline and Choral-Aires who performed in the parade and during the tree lighting.
Shoutout to Blair Elementary 5th graders for raising funds to support a 5th grade trip to Mackinac Island in June, which will cost just over $3,000. Students created many crafts for their table at the Traverse City West Senior High School Craft Show and raised $1,300 toward their effort! WOW! Great job to First Robotics Team 1711 RAPTORS for hosting a successful Super Science Saturday at Traverse City Central High School on December 10th! Titans Team 3766 also collaborated and supported the event. What a great crosstown collaboration to support STEM and awareness of STEM to the entire community!
Students from Mr. Skodack’s AP Computer Science class at Traverse City West Senior High School mentored 7th and 8th grade students and teachers from TCAPS Montessori on computer science during the Hour of Code. Great job to everyone participating this week!
Traverse City West Senior High School Football presented The Munson Cancer Foundation with funds that were raised during this year's Pink Out Game--WSH Football raised over $3,760 and Nicolet Bank, who partnered with Q100 raised another $1,000. WSH varsity and JV volleyball teams also made a donation of $1,000 to the Cancer Patient Needs Fund. Traverse City Central High School Football donated $3,016 and volleyball raised $3,267! Thank you to everyone who supported the WSH and CHS Pink Out Games this year!
TCAPS Montessori adolescent students recently hosted a microeconomy bake sale! Students were tasked with planning, prepping, packaging, and marketing the event from start to finish.
